Mithra Group, founded by Mr. Maganti Subrahmanyam in 1964, began as a Parts and Service Distributor for Cummins Engines in 1972. Expanding into automotive sector in the state of Andhra Pradesh, it became a Maruti Suzuki dealer in 1984. Subsequently the group diversified into bus/truck body building, heavy fabrication and entered the manufacturing sector.
In 1998, the group entered construction equipment segment with L&T Construction Equipment, followed by mining solutions in 2012 through Atlas Copco and Epiroc. Strengthening its presence, it expanded into material handling with KION (Voltas Forklifts), while Shell Industrial Lubricants further broadened its reach across the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
